LLADRO PORCELAIN FIGURINES

Heirs to the ancient tradition of porcelain, Lladro Figurines has managed to make its own, bringing closer to the general public an art which had previously only been within the reach of an elite. They have never forgotten that art constitutes their means of expression. That only through an entirely handmade process and ongoing innovation, have they been able to create and consolidate the personal style identifying their work. For the Lladro brothers, porcelain is made of the same material from which dreams are forged.

In 1953, the Lladro brothers left their work in a tile factory and built a small Moorish kiln in the backyard of their family home in Almassera, a small town near the Spanish city of Valencia, and this was where their adventure began. The City Of Porcelain now stands today very near to where they set up that initial workshop. Over two thousand people work there on creations exported to more than one hundred countries.
