Marie-Paule Deville-Chabrolle

Daum Crystal Artist Marie-Paul Deville-Chabrolle

Marie-Paule Deville-Chabrolle is a painter and sculptor born in 1952. She studied at the Beaux-Arts School and spent two years in the Phnom-Penh Fine Arts faculty in Cambodia. She now works and lives in France. Her approach is a highly personal adventure: every encounter, every county she has travelled through, every image glimpsed and every emotional experience contributes to her creation. Her works are a passionate tribute to grace and femininity without being too sensual. She draws, sculpts, and transforms women in bronze, producing carved figures of expressive gentleness that emanate a sense of contemplation and inner strength. As a woman, Marie-Paule Deville-Chabrolle creates work unlike the traditional eroticism often found in many sculptors today.
