Richard Orlinski

Daum Crystal Artist Richard Orlinski

Orlinski was born in in Paris in 1966. He began studying art at the National Fine Arts School in Neuilly-sur-Seine in France. That's when he decided to go more into sculpture. He started to create sculptures in 2004, designed with the concept of "Born Wild" that reflects fundamental values in a contemporary style. Inspired by Pop Art, Orlinski began to work, giving his sculptures wild pops of color. Each of his works are created by scratch, and each piece is different. He condemns the idea of series production in the cultural industry. That is one of the reasons why he paired with Daum Crystal--each Daum piece is created by scratch and is never duplicated in the same way. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind.

His works touch a wide audience, including children, who fall in love with his iconic, fun style. He has been a guest of honor at the Art Elysees Fair, Art Paris Fair, Artiferia in Bologna and Cannes, and the Deauville and Cabourg Festival. By 2010, he became the second best-selling, contemporary French artist in France and two of his artworks were among the 10 highest auctions in 2011.
