Each piece created at the MacKenzie-Childs studio is a unique work of functional art, hand formed using traditional techniques, hand trimmed, fired, glazed, decorated and fired again, and sometimes, again. Although handmade pots require meticulous care during the production process, MacKenzie-Childs choose to utilize these methods to ensure that each piece has its own individuality and charm, as diverse as the wild flowers that grace a landscape or frost patterns on a window pane – never to be repeated.
