The Venice Carnival, the most romantic and sophisticated in the world, is the theme chosen by Lladro for the creation of its greatest artistic and technical challenge undertaken to date; a monumental, exquisitely crafted Baroque work. This High Porcelain creation, executed in a Limited Edition of only 100 pieces, is designed to be admired from all angles, just as Venice during the of Carnival. Its figures are inspired by the Italian commedia dell'arte: Harlequin, Colombina, Pantalone, Pierrot, Scaramouche ... all surrounded by the richest of scenes. It is a milestone in the history of porcelain art, whose creative process involved five years of research and testing. The work of 35 artists and 22,000 hours were invested, along with around 450 fragments, in order to breathe life into this new creation of 14 figures.
